Shared vs. private pricing differs sharply
A seat on a shared tour, grouped with other passengers you don't know, typically runs $150 to $300 for a short flight. Charter the same helicopter privately and the price doesn't split per person - it's the cost of the whole aircraft, commonly $1,000 to $3,000 or more, whether two people or six are on board.
Weight limits can force you to book extra seats
Helicopters fly with a hard, published weight limit for the aircraft, not a suggestion. A group that runs heavy can get split across two flights or asked to pay for an empty seat to stay under it, so it's worth asking the operator's cutoff before booking rather than finding out at check-in.
Add-ons and location both push prices up
A landing tour, where the helicopter actually sets down at a remote overlook instead of just circling it, plus a champagne toast or a photo package, can add $100 to $400 per person on top of the base flight.
